Mindful Workplace Summit - my Top 3 take-aways
Updated: Aug 10, 2019
Attending and speaking at this conference was a peak experience for me! Here are the key things that stand out from my experience of being there.
It was inspirational. Both the speakers and the people who attended exude the same 'fire and their bellies' that mindfulness can really help people improve their lives.
The attendees were mostly employees working within organizations who are bringing mindfulness to their workplaces, or, coaches and consultants who want to provide mindfulness services.
1440 Multiversity, where the conference was held, is a truly amazing place to be. Check it out if you haven't heard of it yet!
I was fortunate to speak twice at the summit:
On a discussion panel with folks from Google, Sonoma County Counsel, and Brighton Jones. We shared our successes and missteps!
My breakout session was 'How to bring mindfulness into your workplace with no ongoing operating costs'. Using a model of training experienced meditators to become skilled facilitators in the workplace, I train these wonderful folks on the nuts and bolts of how to implement workplace mindfulness from a practical and programmatic approach that really makes sense.
